About Us

Rooted in Care

Who we are

A dedicated organisation serving the BAME community with a deep understanding of the unique challenges we face. Born out of our founder's personal experience as a first-hand carer for her child with cerebral palsy since 1994, we know that language and cultural barriers can exacerbate the struggles of caring for a loved one with a disability. Our mission is to bridge this gap by providing empathetic and culturally sensitive support to carers from diverse backgrounds, who have traditionally been isolated and silenced. With a strong commitment to collaboration with mainstream agencies, we empower carers to break the taboo surrounding disability and take control of their own support networks

Since Covid-19, Masoom Care has delivered a bereavement service for the BAME community, especially women who are widows. Ongoing support is provided through Counselling and Therapy, Support Groups, Educational Workshops, Online Resources and Support, and Creative Expression through art therapy
