Carers to Career

Our project will provide unpaid carers with the necessary skills, resources, and support to get closer to the labor market and consider employment opportunities. Carers possess a wealth of hidden skills acquired through their caregiving experiences that are often overlooked but highly valuable in the workplace. Equally, giving up professional careers to devote time to caring has resulted in loss of confidence, self-esteem, and deterioration of key skills.

Masoom Care will reach out to carers, providing a platform where they can be supported to take the first steps back into learning for further training. As a program, we will:

  1. Conduct individual assessments to identify the skills, strengths, and areas for development of unpaid carers.
  2. Offer tailored training sessions and workshops to enhance employability skills such as communication, time management, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
  3. Offer one-on-one career counseling sessions to help unpaid carers explore their career options, set realistic goals, and develop personalized career plans.
  4. Provide information and guidance on job searching strategies, CV writing, interview preparation, and networking techniques.
  5. Facilitate connections with local employers, job fairs, and employment agencies to explore job opportunities.
